The government has confirmed that the Autumn Budget 2026 will be delivered on Wednesday 28 October 2026, alongside new forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility.
What is already set to change
Several big changes were announced in earlier Budgets and are already law or in progress:
- Income tax thresholds stay frozen until April 2031
- New, higher tax rates on property and savings income from April 2027
- Unused pension funds come into inheritance tax from April 2027
- Company cars, vans, fuel and medical benefits move into payroll from April 2027
